Ribble Cycles Opens Flagship Showroom In Birmingham Mailbox

Monday 6th February 2017

British cycle brand, Ribble Cycles, has opened the doors to its new Flagship Showroom, located in the prestigious Birmingham Mailbox shopping centre in the UK’s second city. The Mailbox is Birmingham's most stylish shopping, lifestyle and restaurant destination, with a variety of exclusive brands, including the Harvey Nichols department store and Malmaison Hotel.

The new permanent showroom will play host to Ribble’s new 2017 bike range including the brand new Ultimate SL, reworked R872 and the popular Sportive Racing. Founded in 1897, Ribble Cycles is continuing to develop with the changing face of retail; in addition to the Mailbox, Ribble opened a pop-up showroom in Cardiff St David’s shopping centre last year.

Customers visiting the Mailbox showroom can see Ribble’s award winning online-only bikes up close and personal, while also taking advantage of expert knowledge from Ribble’s trained staff who can assist with their bike requirements. A specially-made bike rig will enable visitors to try for fit any model or size of Ribble bikes.

Staff will also take customers through Ribble’s pioneering and updated Bike Builder, a service which allows customers to spec their perfect bike to their exacting requirements. Instore service and advice points allow access to Ribble’s entire catalogue; orders placed in the showroom will be delivered either via click and collect to the showroom or direct to a home address or workplace.

Jon Owen, CEO of Ribble Cycles says: "After our exciting pop up showroom initiative in Cardiff, we're delighted to open a permanent show room in Birmingham’s Mailbox, a brilliant and high quality central destination for the UK."

He added: “Ribble Cycles offers unrivalled customisation with incredible value because of our direct sales model. The addition of our new show rooms means that much of England will be able to conveniently see our full range up close and get expert advice in-person.”

Melanie Taylor, head of retail relations at Milligan, joint owners of the Mailbox, said: “Level 1 of the Mailbox is fast becoming a destination for premium home and lifestyle retailers and Ribble will be a very welcome addition. 2016 has been a fantastic year for the Mailbox and 2017 is set to be even more exciting with the launch of the Mailbox app and new store openings.”
