Multipower Whey Protein

Strawberry Splash

Flavouring

Who doesn't love strawberry?! Give me a strawberry cornetto or milkshake any day! This supplement tastes of the latter, very Nesquik-esque which is absolutely fine with me. The powder itself is a bit froffy, a very light substance, more flour than granules but when mixed in, it easily dissolves. I am a milk person when it comes to nutrition powders, water ruins the taste in my opinion and this goes down a treat. Its bang on the money with the taste!

You really cant tire of this flavour! Add a double cheeesburger and fries and you're in an American diner! I am curious whether the other flavours in the range has the longevity as the strawberry? Flavour for us is as important as the impact of the supplement, its obvious that if you enjoy something, you're gonna want more of it so Multipower has ticked this off with a bold pen!

The summer season is over. Long rides are substituted for shorter for more punchier rides. We have begun some night rides with a couple of local riders who themselves don't hang around on a cold night. This is prime testing area for this supplement. The impact of recovery before the next leg burning nightime chaingang (sounds like a crew out of The Warriors!). Just as we were about to put the powder to the test, winter flu has hit us and has knocked us out. Kilo has been lost through sweat alone which means any power gained in the long summer rides and especially from 'The One v2.0' has diminished. So Multipower, can you aid me in recovery and get me back up to speed with the rest of the wheelers?

Branding

I'm not gonna lie, its an ordinary tub. Compared to the Activeman tubs, its every other whey protein tub you'll find in Mr Muscle World. The names of the flavours though give it a fun comical feel. The list of flavours on the website is like the daily specials at Starbucks, coffee caramel anyone?!

We do like to be attracted by something unique, niche or different. Its all psychological but if brand designs can motivate you through the packaging and design, it will motivate you to commit to your nutrition plan and diet which obviously wants you to buy again.

Performance

The recommended consumption for the shakes is 1-3 30g serving per day. You think of protein, you think of power so I have been consuming a 400ml shake (with 30g powder) at the end of each commute home. This also gives me the motivation to put the hammer down to fire up those fast twitch muscle fibres. No apparent side effects to report and combined with a low carb diet (fresh meals are made at home with a no or low carb focus) plus continuing Adams circuits, it looks promising for a winter body (if there is one!)
